Mindset triumphs all battles!
Massive well done to the boys fighting out at Lilydale over the weekend!
With strict professional weight cuts mandatory for Dynamite Muay Thai’s Sor. Nak Dee Fight Family the boys both weighing in at 53 Kg.
Miss matched all round the boys fought hard, fought strong and fought smart against their opponents who had the weight advantage.
Coach Lily heading the charge with Kru Dennis being away and focusing on his own fight the exact same day in Pattaya, Thailand only hours apart due to time difference. Coach Lily and the Corner crew of professional fighters from Sor. Nak Dee Tier 1 and with help from the reserves in the fight team took the hand they were dealt with and braved on.
First up representing the Green Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee Fight Family was Jorge “The Hurricane” Leon untouchable in his bout fought against Nemesis MMA in Boxing and controlled his 66Kg opponent from the get go to come off with an upset win against his larger more experienced opponent.
Dinil Sor. Nak Dee Fought with much heart and equal ferocity against his larger opponent also weighing approx. 66Kg and above from XFC.
Dinil fought tight and close looking to utilize his extensive clinching practice with Kru Dennis and the rest of the Sor. Nak Dee Fight Family but unfortunately this David and Goliath battle didn’t convince the judges he was making enough impact against his heavier opponent towering at least one foot above Dinil and having in excess of 13Kg advantage Dinil’s attacks merely made dent. Full credit to both the boys especially Dinil who stepped up for his first bout.
All in all brilliant display of technical skill, heart, uncompromised mindset and craft of the Dynamite Muay Thai Sor. Nak Dee Fight Family.

Novice Team Dee Jai Duay Kap!
Outstanding performance for the novice Fight Team over the weekend with great results out at the Lilydale Indoor Basketball Stadium for the National Fight Competition run by Nick Lundh. Always a good day out and always a good environment for the competitors.
Beer Sor. Nak Dee heading the lineup for the team against novice fighter from 3136 Colonel’s Muay Thai in Croydon.
Beer taking it easy and jumping in for the experience and polishing any ring rust as in less than 5 days he will be back in action again for his first professional Muay Thai Bout out at Night of Mayhem 8 This coming weekend at the Dandenong show grounds.
Second for Team Sor. Nak Dee Novice Team was Medina Masselhoff Sor. Nak Dee. With plenty of powerful Kicks, plenty of juice in the tank it was just unfortunate that her bout scored the other way to Novice fighter from Geelong Ulimate Everlasting.
Medina who is fresh in Muay Thai training has come a long way physically and mentally and shown she will be a future force under the Sor. Nak Dee black and green banner. You will see a lot of heart coming out of this young competitor.
Boxer Jorge Sor. Nak Dee competing in his debut out at Lilydale showed he is pound for pound another up and comer from the Dynamite Muay Thai Gym for Boxing with his fluid combo’s and forward aggressive stance. Kru Dennis; “During the week Jorge was still finding his feet against some of the taller/bigger boys during sparring. But I came up with a plan while we were warming him up at the venue to ease Jorge in”.
“After about 30 mins we basically re-trained everything to fit the fight game of the day and fortunately Jorge went in strong, explosive and in detail of our strategies coming off with a convincing win against Novice fighter from Beast Muay Thai”.
Massive Dynamite Muay Thai weekend!
Vanessa with her well deserved trophies!!
Lilydale, the setting for the National Fight Competition interclub was day 1 for the four fight massive weekend with Jun Sor. Nak Dee pulling out due to illness, Vanessa Sor. Nak Dee kept the torch alight for Dynamite Sor. Nak Dee crew taking on Lightning Fight Centre’s Kelly in Boxing and taking on another unexpected fight from Gleason’s Gym.A Close fight with very even skill sets of both the girls who both have a background in either Kickboxing or Muay Thai.
Vanessa With Coach Kyle and Kru Dennis’s guiding advice went in well planned, pushing forward.
Some great last minute advice from Kru Dennis on the timing of the slip and jab / slip and cross with the follow up taking her to unanimous points win on both fights.
Congratulations Vanessa!!

Dynamite Sor.Nak Dee Novice Team Results
‘Leonitis’ Bailey (Army Reserve) – Tko Win
Great first fight Leo having confidence in his trainers’ absolute belief with a remarkable 4 months total training experience and never fought nor trained in combat sports the heavy body conditioning of the legs, core, forearms and will was the determining factor for his comfortable fight back to take a TKO.
Carl ‘Snarl’ Snell (Builder) – Draw
Feeling out the first round, nervs almost got the better of him which eventually diminished for him to dominate well following the first minute. Although controlling the rest of the fight and contemplating a comfortable win, the judges split went to a draw. Snarl will be competing at the Hammers’ Interclub on the 17th of March before going pro with Full Thai Rules at the next Ultimate Promotions Fight show 12th of April. All in all another great first fight.
Anthony Schwarzeneggar (Personal Trainer) – Fight 1 – Win
Schwarzaneggar came in clean, swift precise and in control. Fighting against former team mate and instructor from another club Anthony had a few close encounters fighting from a distance with a much heavier, stronger opponent. Coach Dee called out a few technical moves to have Anthony Dominate the Clinch and take a great win.
Howard Wolfie (Import/Export Business owner) – Win
Swept out by a “catch & Sweep” early into the first minute may have been the only deciding factor that the panel thought highly of preventing Wolfie from taking the first round. The rest of the fight played out brilliantly like a well organized orchestra. With commands being called out to Wolfie by Coach Dee it was call-action, call-action with superbly timed shots, combo’s and counters delivered precisely, almost as if the fight had been staged. Well controlled and great use of combinations throughout the fight.
Anthony Schwarzeneggar (Personal Trainer) – Fight 2 loss
Fight Number 2 Schwarzeneggar fought pro fighter Al Mansouri a veteran from the pro circuit from the first bell clearly out classed for this level of competition and fresh compared with Anthony on his 2nd fight in the same day. Anthony fought hard suffering many leg kicks sweeps and taking a few kicks to the head. After having a sip of water between rounds and going over tactics with Kru Dee, Anthony listened to the instructions and went in turning the tide to capture the rest of the fight in his favor with superb clinching control and use of the follow up low knees but unfortunately the kicks of Al Mansouri in the first round had impressed the Kickboxing oriented judges. Anthony Schwarzaneggar will also be representing and adorning for his first pro fight the black and green shorts, and fight robe of Dynamite Sor. Nak Dee fight team in April for the Ultimate Promotions Fight Show.
The Competition level out at National Fight Competition Lilydale has really picked up with now many Former pro Kickboxing Fighters making the switch to Muay Thai and competing at the grass roots level bringing with them a wealth of Pro competition experience from Kickboxing for the benefit of the Muay Thai Novice Fighters.
On other news Megan Zabel dubbed ‘Megatron’ competed in the WKO Jiu Jitsu Competition over the weekend with 2 days notice. Megatron competed hard and did well representing Cia Paulista Melbourne and Dynamite Melbourne but due to heavy standup training days didn’t bring back the gold. Watch out for Megatron’s debut Mod Muay Thai fight at Hammers’ 17th March.
Tonight saw the first intermediate Muay Thai LopBuri style class at Dynamite with the new addition of Jojo Sriraksa to the Instructors line up. Jojo who’s father was a promoter in Thailand has many years experience in Muay Thai and a wealth of knowledge in preparing fighters. More information about Jojo coming soon!!
